It’s been almost two years since PUBG MOBILE hit the Android and iOS app stores, and since then, the game has received countless number of updates.

 

The game was initially a pure battle royale game but as time passed, PUBG kept on adding new gameplay modes as well as new features to keep the gameplay existing.  

The game is now set to get another update that will bring in new weapons as well as celebrate two years of the game.

 

Already available on the beta version, PUBG MOBILE’s next update is going to be titled 0.17.0 and it is going to bring new content to the game.

There are no new gameplay modes or maps this time but the team is ensuring that there’s enough stuff to make the gameplay exciting.

 

Some of them are based around weapons and most of these will make the gameplay full of action. The much-awaited death cam is also coming to the game with this update.

When is the release date (not confirmed) of PUBG Mobile Season 12?  A season usually lasts for 2 months (8 weeks) and considering PUBG Season 11 began on January 10th, 2020 then we expect PUBG Mobile S12 to release on March 6th, 2020 in India.

DBS is a new double-barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun that has been designed in a way to induce more damage in a short amount of time. 
 
The weapon will be available in special crates and airdrops for the time being and it can use the holographic, red dot sight and up to 6x scopes.
 
The good old UZI can now also be equipped with a red-dot or holographic sight, which means players can shoot with greater accuracy.

Extreme Cold Mode

We heard of a new Cold Mode making its way to the game and the update 0.17.0 is bringing it finally.
The  name is a little misleading as this mode will let players try out everything to survive.  Players will have to hunt for food by killing animals or light a fire in order to survive. 
 
A cold wave will inflict damage upon the player’s health and a timer will keep showing how long before the next wave comes in so as to let players prepare the shelter.

Tactical Markers

So far, you can only use a single type of marker on the map but the update will let players use eight different types of markers. 
 
Players can now mark enemies, positions, spot for attack and more.

Death Replay

The Death Replay has been available on the PC version since a long time and it is now coming to the mobile version.
 
The feature will show how you were taken by the enemy. This will let players learn from their mistakes and avoid the same error the next time.
 
Players can also use this to report hackers in the game.

Yes, this is the Erangel 2.0 map but it will certainly bring in a few elements from the new map.


The UAZ and Dacia will be updated whereas some locations might be upgraded with better effects.

 

Season 12:
The Season 12 will also come in with the next update and this one marks the second anniversary of the game.

As usual, there will be a bunch of skins, clothes and other items themed on the celebration. 

Some mini-games are also expected to be part of the game where players can win in-game prizes.

It is not looking more like the highly anticipated “PUBG Mobile” 0.17.0 patch will not make it in time for a February release date. 

But the Royale Pass Season 12 should give players enough reason to be patient for the next update.

Well-known “PUBG Mobile” source and YouTube channel Mr. Ghost Gaming shared screenshots of the leaked items that will reportedly arrive with Royale Pass Season 12.

 Per the usual updates, the next lineup of rewards includes exclusive and themed skins, emotes, parachutes, and other gears.

There are more than 10 new emotes arriving in the next update, per the same source. 

Since this content was supposedly released this month, “PUBG Mobile” players should not be surprised if some of the new emotes are making a reference to love as February is known for Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile, the same report might have also offered the first look on the rumored new character named Carlo arriving in “PUBG Mobile” 0.17.0.

 However players will still have to wait for the official patch notes to see what his special abilities are.

The leaks are also showing several upgradeable skins for an array of weapons, Dacia, UAZ, and the airplane. Season 12 is also bringing in new designs for parachutes, pans, backpacks, and helmets.

As mentioned, patch 0.17.0 and Season 12 were expected to go live this month, but Mr. Ghost Gaming reported that the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak had affected the developer’s timeline. 

The next update is reportedly planned for Mar. 3 while Royale Pass Season 12 could go live on Mar. 8.

‘PUBG Mobile’ events: What players could win from joining the King Fighter festivities

While waiting for the next patch to be released, “PUBG Mobile” players can join the King Fighter event and win an exclusive outfit. The event started on Tuesday and will be available until Feb. 27.

“PUBG Mobile” players joining the event will have to complete a set of missions that changes every day. 

The lineup of challenges changes every midnight at the player’s local time. Every mission completed will reward players with energy and coins.

The energy collected can then be used to attack the Fighter until its 10,000 points is totally consumed. Once that is accomplished, “PUBG Mobile” players will be rewarded with the exclusive Black Cat outfit that can be used for 10 days. Also read:-
